Taking Off

I just realized how behind I am on posting sessions.  Sorry guys!  I have a pretty good excuse though…something that’s been a huge distraction the last few months:

I’m returning to the Pearl of Africa!!

Woohoo!  That’s right!  I’m so excited about going back to serve in Northern Uganda for a couple of months.  This arrangement is such a huge answer to prayer and God’s direction has never been clearer to me.

In light of this news…

I will not be accepting new clients between May 10, 2015 and August 15, 2015.

…Unless of course you live in Northern Uganda, then I may be able to work something out 😉

Yeah, I know it’s sad that I’m leaving in the prime of photography season here in the South…  But be happy I’m not putting the camera away altogether!  Capturing  beauty and stories wherever I go is one of my greatest passions, and Uganda is no exception.   Abaana’s Hope is thriving; the Lord has obviously laid his hand on this ministry and is moving in the hearts of the Acholi people incredible ways!  I am honored that God has given me this chance to document His work out in the bush this summer.

Now you may wonder how I plan on updating everyone during my stay since social media just isn’t my thing.  Well, I’m going to attempt blogging (see link below).  But really, it all depends on what kind of time I’ll have to process pictures or write, and if I can access wifi during my stay.  Please keep me in your prayers, and follow my journey to Uganda at

Left My Heart in Africa.

I love you all!  Thank you for being such wonderful friends and supporters!
